Network of Farmers
We’ve helped local regenerative growers to create a network, currently numbering 20 small farms.
Member benefits of the network
Marketing support
Joint promotion to local people to encourage them to buy locally grown food: BannauAcres.co.uk.
Joint purchasing power
Buying together in bulk helps to reduce prices.
Procurement
Joint negotiation with local schools, hospitals and care homes to use local food.
Inter trading
Exchange and sale of surplus produce between growers to maximise income and avoid food waste.
Investment
Joint investment in decarbonisation (e.g. electric vehicles) and training.
Outreach
Create opportunities for education, training and community outreach.
Shared knowledge and support
Provide opportunities for growers to come together and share experience, increasing their knowledge and breaking the isolation common among farmers.
